Unfortunately, this meant driving during the 7pm hour. Evelynd hates driving then because it's the last hour before her bedtime and she likes to wiggle and play then. She fell asleep from 7:48 until 8:15, when the hotel noise woke her up. She was not happy. Eventually, though, the music from the TV, the presents, and the hotel's crib made her happy. We finally got her back to sleep at 11. Evelynd and I stayed with Grandpa since we had to be in Portland the next morning anyway, but Dassow Daddy went home to hang with the dogs. (Samson has now outlived the vet's predictions -- happy!)
Grandpa left early in the morning, but it was good to see him -- however briefly. Evelynd and I had breakfast at the hotel and then asked the ladies (who couldn't stop gushing over her) at the front desk for any fun baby things close by. They told us that there was a play area at the mall, so we headed over and Ev had a good time before our day of lessons.
She saw another baby crawling through the log tunnel, so she decided to do it, too. |
