Stranger Anxiety Already???

I had the day off, so we packed up the car and headed to Lake Oswego again to visit all the greats there (GG'pa, GG'ma, G'Uncle Jon, G'Aunt Julie).  During nap time for the adults, Evelynd and I walked down to visit our new friends who have a six-month old baby girl named Julia (her mother wanted to name her Evelyn).  We had a fun visit and hope to see them again -- maybe even in Salem.

While visiting the greats, GG'pa and G'Aunt Julie tried holding Evelynd and she screamed.  She really isn't letting ANYONE else hold her.  This stranger anxiety has been developing for a few weeks now, but it wasn't supposed to set in at such a young age.  Bummer.  At least she still likes Dassow Daddy and Mommy.

These pictures were taken before Evelynd realized someone else was holding her (she could see both of us):

Dianne Lathen gave Evelynd this outfit on Sunday -- just in time for summer (the forecast is all 80's).

One other note: she is getting pretty consistent at going to bed at 8:00 p.m.  It's nice when things are a little more predictable and, as GG'pa said, you get so excited for the baby to finally be born, but once they arrive you can't wait for them to go to sleep.  Not always true, but sometimes.  She's so cute and cuddly when she sleeps.

P.S. Ellsbury's walk off single gave the Red Sox the win over the Indians.
