Beachcomber Baby

I took the day off, so we headed to Lincoln City with Nana and Papa Dassow on their last day here.  It was fabulous!  Not too much wind and temperature in the 60's.  What a great first trip to the beach for Baby Evelynd.

The Sea Lions were swimming and sunning themselves.

A view down the beach.

A crab that had already been picked clean by the seagulls.

We had lunch at Mo's and then spent the rest of our time on the sand.

On the way home we stopped at the Otis Cafe and then at Cafe 22.  Cafe 22 is just outside of Salem.  We heard of it from a couple at our childbirth class.  They were some of the owners and said the cafe was famous for its milkshakes.  Our classmates weren't there, but their father was and he gave us all free shakes.  They were delicious with huge chunks of fresh fruit.  We will definitely be back.  Besides, what a nice guy.

Unfortunately, when we got home, Nana and Papa Dassow had to leave.  It was a fun visit.  Thanks for all your generosity and come back soon!

At the end of the day, Evie was all tuckered out:

Finally, for your viewing pleasure:

P.S. Red Sox won.  Good day all around.
