Columbus Day (Observed)

We didn't get any mail today.  That's how I remembered it was Columbus Day.  Why don't we celebrate it any more?  Only the Feds get the day off.  Anyway, it caused me to look up the official Oregon state holidays and I found that Oregon celebrates Asian American Heritage Month (May) and Korean American Day (January 13).  No other ethnicities have days or months is Oregon and these became law in 2007.  Why then?  I don't exactly know, but maybe they were just anticipating the wonderful Baby E and celebrating early.

Today was just a work day, but Evelynd looked ready for a ski chalet vacation.  Maybe soon....
